Telegram mini-app where people keep their wishlists and share them with friends

Why do people need WishMate?

It’s a simple way to keep all your wishes in one place and share them with friends in seconds. They immediately see what you’d like as a gift and don’t have to guess. A wishlist takes away the awkward “what should I get you?” talks, and in groups it makes planning easier since everyone can see what’s already taken. Nothing to install — it works right inside Telegram, and you choose which items stay private.

Telegram mini-app

Opens right in the messenger and fits the usual chat flow, so you can use it without installing anything or signing in

Easy wish adding

Title, link, price and image go into one card quickly, without extra steps or switching between screens

One-click sharing

You can send your wishlist to any Telegram user; the link opens even for people who don’t have the mini-app

Gift reservation

Friends can mark picked gifts in one tap, which helps avoid overlap and duplicate choices

Users choose the format and decide which wishes stay visible and which remain private

How we built WishMate

01 Learned how people pick gifts

Ran 10 interviews and reviewed competitors to understand real user scenarios and expectations

02 Defined what the service should be

Collected requirements and prepared documentation: features, flows, limits and how everything works inside Telegram

03 Built the product foundation

Designed the user flow for adding wishes, sharing, reserving gifts and accessing lists in different cases

04 Prepared UX and prototypes

Created wireframes and designed screens in Figma, simplifying steps and keeping only what users need

05 Implemented the core features

Built the frontend and backend for the Telegram Mini App, added data handling and connected all main flows

06 Tested and released the product

Checked all key scenarios, fixed details and delivered the full project in about six weeks
